A series of worldwide blackouts cause millions of mysterious cosmic anomalies to appear everywhere across the planet. Some people are drawn into them with horrifying consequences.

Much more interesting in concept than it was good in practice, _Portals_ exists in this weird psuedo-anthology format, where it both is and isn't a series of related short films, and is and isn't one story that sometimes switches perspectives. This "in-between" factor works to the detriment of _Portals_ which never really gets a cohesive movie out of its very cool idea. _Final rating:★★½ - Had a lot that appealed to me, didn’t quite work as a whole._
