For the master composer and lyricist's 80th birthday, many of musical theater's brightest stars gathered in March of 2010 to perform more than two dozen sensational numbers from Sondheim's illustrious career, and several of these enduring songs are performed by the original Broadway cast members. Made in Stoke 24/7/11 is the second live album by English hard rock guitarist Slash. At 25, Cro is the youngest artist to record an MTV Unplugged album. Cro: MTV Unplugged is the first live and acoustic album by German rapper Cro in the MTV Unplugged series. The album was recorded on May 4, 2015, at the Scala in Ludwigsburg.

During the summer of 2010, Vanessa Paradis performed a series of 20 acoustic concerts in France: a real event! For the first time, her greatest hits, from "Joe le taxi" to "Divine Idylle," were revisited with eight acoustic musicians, including a string quartet. Vanessa Paradis and Barclay decided to record and film one of the two concerts given at the Royal Opera House of the Palace of Versailles on July 11 and 12.

Beauty and the Beat is a live collaboration between Tarja & Mike Terrana. The track listing consists in a mix of classical pieces, covers from both Queen and Led Zeppelin, from her past band Nightwish, and Tarja's own songs.

On June 8, 2024, Oscar-winning French actress Marion Cotillard joined the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra for a performance of Arthur Honegger’s oratorio Jeanne d'Arc au Bûcher (Joan of Arc at the Stake), conducted by Alan Gilbert, performed at the Berliner Philharmonie in Berlin, Germany and broadcast live on Digital Concert Hall, the online concert hall of the Berliner Philharmonie. In the oratorio, Joan of Arc looks back on her life, her visions, and her successes during a show trial in which she is sentenced to be burned at the stake.
