Royal Rumble 2016 was a professional wrestling pay-per-view event produced by WWE. It took place on January 24, 2016 at Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. It was the 29th event under the Royal Rumble chronology and the first WWE pay-per-view of 2016. This was the fifth Royal Rumble to be held in the state of Florida after the 1990, 1991, 1995 and 2006 editions. It was the second Royal Rumble in Orlando since 1990 and the first pay-per-view event at Amway Center since it opened in 2010.

No Way Out (2006) was the eighth annual No Way Out professional PPV and was presented by Subway. It took place on February 19, 2006 at 1st Mariner Arena in Baltimore, Maryland and was a SmackDown! brand-exclusive event. The main event saw Kurt Angle defend his World Heavyweight Championship against The Undertaker. One of the predominant matches on the card was Randy Orton versus Rey Mysterio for Mysterio's world championship match at WrestleMania 22. Another primary match on the undercard was Booker T versus Chris Benoit for the WWE United States Championship.

NJPW Road To Tokyo Dome Night 6 took place in Tokyo, Japan on December 20, 2014. The main event was a six man tag featuring Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi & Togi Makabe taking on Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii.

December's annual instruments of destruction event features "The Head of the Table" Roman Reigns defending his WWE Universal Championship against Kevin Owens, as well as WWE Champion Drew McIntyre taking on AJ Styles TLC Match. Randy Orton also faces "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt in a Firefly Inferno Match.

It took place on January 21, 1990 at the Orlando Arena in Orlando, Florida. The main event was the 1990 Royal Rumble match won by WWF Champion Hulk Hogan. Hogan last eliminated Mr. Perfect to win the match. Featured matches on the undercard were Jim Duggan versus The Big Boss Man, Ronnie Garvin versus Greg Valentine in an "I Quit" match and The Bushwhackers (Butch and Luke) versus The Fabulous Rougeaus (Jacques and Raymond).

In total, thirty wrestlers competed to eliminate their competitors by throwing them over the top rope of the wrestling ring onto the arena floor. Bret Hart defends the WWF Championship against Razor Ramon. Shawn Michaels defends the Intercontinental Championship against former tag team partner Marty Jannetty.

Through a tumultuous weekend where male ego and peer pressure take their toll, three childhood friends rediscover their childish passion for amateur wrestling, an absurd and violent solution to the absence of one of their own.

Winnie Lightner is the head of a health clinic and has Joe E. Brown as one of her employees. Brown is a wrestler named JoJo and he is forced to enter the ring and face down a musclebound masked opponent (Frank S. Hagney). Making matters worse, the masked marauder is convinced that his wife has been fooling around with JoJo. JoJo is knocked out early in the proceedings, whereupon he dreams he's a sultan surrounded by harem girls. A romantic subplot involves Paul Gregory and Claudia Dell. Gregory works for Dell's father and Dell asks her father to give Gregory a promotion so that she can spend more time with him. When Gregory refuses to be promoted without earning the position, she threatens to have him fired and Gregory quits his job. Gregory attempts to start a new career as a championship wrestler and is trained by Lightner and Brown. When Dell finds out about this, she attempts to stop him and asks for his forgiveness. She pleads with him to not fight but he has already promised...
