There is a great sense of dread throughout but the mystery keeps you interested right up until the end. Lots of big themes and an interesting concept. It did make me jump a few times but its not one of those horrors full of cheap jump scares, the constant edge of your seat creepiness keeps you pretty scared throughout haha! The performances we really great too. Obviously produced on a low budget but what its able to do with the budget is actually quite impressive. Recommended for horror fans who like cosmic horror / lovecraft type films.
The film is a captivating slow-paced cinematic experience that masterfully maximizes its modest budget.
The film intriguingly delves into the vastness of the cosmos, highlighting how the unsettling notion of our insignificance can drive individuals to the brink of madness. This serves as the foundation for the sinister cult portrayed in the story.
My minor reservations stem from a desire for a more substantial financial backing, a factor preventing me from awarding it a higher rating. While I craved more elaborate creatures and a broader array of characters, it's crucial to acknowledge that the movie's intent and budget constraints are not aligned with those expectations.
The performances are commendable, The direction maintains a strong grip on the narrative, and the cinematography is visually pleasing, adding to the film's allure. The thematic exploration is genuinely thought-provoking.
I encourage you to give it a chance; you might find yourself captivated.
