The show where everything's made up and the points don't matter. Not a talk show, not a sitcom, not a game show, Whose Line Is It Anyway? is a completely unique concept to network television. Four talented actors perform completely unrehearsed skits and games in front of a studio audience. Host Drew Carey sets the scene, with contributions from the audience, but the actors rely completely on their quick wit and improvisational skills. It's genuinely improvised, so anything can happen - and often does.

Little Miss Jocelyn is a British TV sketch comedy written by and starring Jocelyn Jee Esien. The show is made up of studio sketches and hidden camera footage in which unsuspecting members of the public become part of a sketch. The series ran for 2 series from 22 August 2006 until its cancellation on 14 February 2008. 12 episodes aired whilst a 13th episode was never broadcast for unknown reasons but is featured as a bonus extra on the Series 2 DVD. In 2007, Esien featured in Girls Aloud and Sugababes' Comic Relief video for "Walk This Way", where she puts a parking ticket on Ewen Macintosh, a reference to the character Jiffy from the show Little Miss Jocelyn.

Campus is a semi-improvised British sitcom created by Robert Harley, James Henry, Oriane Messina, Gary Parker, Victoria Pile, Richard Preddy, Fay Rusling, and Christian Sandino-Taylor, with Pile acting as co-writer, producer, and director. At the fictitious Kirke University, the lives of the staff are explored, particularly the power-crazed and callous vice chancellor Jonty de Wolfe, lazy womanising English literature professor Matt Beer, and newly promoted senior mathematics lecturer Imogen Moffat. The series was initially broadcast as a pilot on Channel 4 on 6 November 2009, part of the Comedy Showcase season of comedy pilots. A full series commenced on 5 April 2011, with the first episode being a reshot and expanded pilot. Many critics claimed it was too similar to Green Wing and that much of the humour was offensive. However, others praised the dark humour and surrealism. It was ultimately cancelled after one series due to poor ratings.

Portuguese Problems is a highly anticipated six-episode sketch comedy series that is scheduled to air on March 18, 2024 on Radio Television Portugal International as well as the RTP Play App the following day). Players is an American comedy series which premiered on the Spike network on March 2, 2010. The series is a partially scripted/mostly improvised comedy about two brothers who run a sports bar together. After airing 3 episodes, Players was removed from the Spike schedule and put on hiatus. The remaining seven episodes from season one were pushed back to air beginning July 21, 2010. Spike aired the final four episodes back-to-back on August 14, 2010.

This partially unscripted comedy brings viewers into the squad car as incompetent officers swing into action, answering 911 calls about everything from speeding violations and prostitution to staking out a drug den. On its official website, Halfway Home is described as an "improvised half-hour show featuring the daily exploits of five ex-cons living together in a residential rehab facility". After airing 10 episodes, on June 20, 2007 costar Regan Burns confirmed that the show had ended.
