My Dad Is Better Than Your Dad is a reality sports TV show on NBC that premiered on February 18, 2008. The show is produced by Mark Burnett, producer of other shows like Survivor, The Apprentice, and Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, and was hosted by actor Dan Cortese. Four teams of kids and their fathers compete in each episode, with the winning team having the chance to win up to $50,000. It replaced American Gladiators in its Monday 8 p.m. timeslot. The series was cancelled on April 2, 2008 after NBC announced its 2008-2009 schedule.

And that was what I said I was going to do with Phenomenon. If somebody goes on that show and claims to have supernatural psychic ability, I'm going to bust them live and on television." The winner of the first season was Mike Super. The series was cancelled on April 2, 2008, after NBC announced its 2008–2009 schedule.

Pete's PA was a British reality television series that originally aired on Living from 8 October 2007 to 5 December 2007. The show followed musician and Dead or Alive frontman Pete Burns as he hunted for a new personal assistant. He was aided by celebrity PA Donna Coulling and psychologist Dr Rob Yeung. Filmed over ten weeks, the potential PAs were pitted against each other in a series of challenges. I'd Do Anything was a 2008 talent show-themed television series produced by the BBC in the United Kingdom and broadcast on BBC One. It premièred on 15 March 2008. The show searched for a new, unknown lead to play Nancy and three young performers who will take it in turns to play Oliver in a West End revival of the British musical Oliver!. The show, named after the song "I'd Do Anything", was hosted by Graham Norton with Andrew Lloyd Webber again overseeing the programme, together with theatrical producer Cameron Mackintosh. In January 2008, John Barrowman confirmed he would be taking part in the show. The BBC also confirmed in late February 2008 that Barry Humphries would join Barrowman and Denise Van Outen on the judging panel of the show. Auditions for the show began in January 2008, with the show airing on BBC One throughout March, April and May 2008. In the final, on 31 May, Jodie Prenger was announced as the winner of the series.

That's Amore! is a reality television show that aired on MTV in early 2008. It is a spin-off of MTV's A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila. Occupation Double is a Canadian French language reality show that started in 2003. It is broadcast by TVA and was the main competitor of the Quebec incarnation of Loft Story. Ultimately, it was more financially successful than its direct competition. A second edition of the show was aired in 2004 and a third edition was aired in the fall of 2006. After yet another successful fourth edition in 2007 and fifth edition in 2008 took place, also on TVA. The sixth edition of Occupation Double premiered on September 27, 2009. Things are different this time around, where the whole duration of the show is airing in Dominican Republic. Just like the other seasons, the contestants will travel around the world. The 7th season will air in the Fall of 2010, the show will take place in Whistler, British Columbia.
