'Black Work' is the story of Jo Gillespie, a woman who's husband is shot dead in the line of action, in his job as a undercover cop. Jo, a police officer herself soon has to confront issues in her marriage and family life in order to discover who really killed her husband.

A detective leaves the force to take over the family business as an undertaker at the same time as he is being investigated for murder. His close encounters with corpses and his earlier police training lead him to see things some of his ex-colleagues miss and he investigates the crimes he encounters in an unofficial capacity often to the dismay of the official police.

Witnesses (French: Les Témoins) is a French police procedural television series, created by Marc Herpoux and Hervé Hadmar. In the first season, police detectives Sandra Winckler and Justin investigate when bodies of murder victims are unearthed and left for discovery in the show homes of a housing developer. Former chief-of-police, Paul Maisonneuve, is implicated. In the second season, Sandra and Justin find themselves on the trail of a serial killer whose modus operandi is to murder all former lovers of his kidnap victims.
