These women formed associations, petitioned the Ontario Legislature, wrote essays, and held satirical events to achieve their goals of equal rights for women. In a countryside village, a veteran politician, Damalas, and a young attorney, Ntinos, son of the village doctor, are rivals in the upcoming elections.
