Tales are told of a cursed DVD that disintegrates the viewer's reality, casting them into a spiritual void. This DVD is called "Breath of Knees." This video documentary investigates the pure horror of this mystery.

"Once Upon a Midnight Scary" is a 1979 television program that aired as part of a CBS television anthology series. The program, hosted by noted actor Vincent Price, features scenes from three stories, including "The Ghost Belonged to Me" by Richard Peck, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" by Washington Irving, and "The House with a Clock in Its Walls" by John Bellairs.

A trio of journalists receive a mysterious DVD from an unknown source. The young woman journalist decides to watch the DVD and disappears. Her two friends begin an investigation into her disappearance that turns up a video she shot while watching the DVD they received in the mail. Upon viewing it appears she was not alone in her apartment. Who is the mystery woman seen only in a reflection and what caused the young lady to commit suicide?

Hannah, mother of two children, is a teacher at a Hamburg high school. She falls in love with her new colleague Bernd Vossler - not knowing what the consequences are. Hannah enjoys being in love with her new boyfriend, but sometimes she is amazed at his behavior. If Bernd does not succeed in something or he is under pressure, he loses his composure and his hand sometimes slips. On a fateful night, Bernd crosses all boundaries.
