The Million Pound Drop Live is a BAFTA-winning game show which broadcasts live on Channel 4 in the United Kingdom. The show began in May 2010 with Davina McCall having presented the show's eleven series to date. The show uses social networking sites such as Facebook and Twitter to find contestants, and also to promote the show. David Flynn, managing director of Endemol's Remarkable Television, which produced the show, said: "The plan was to create buzz and an air of mystery around the show by trickling information about auditions via Twitter and Facebook, giving fans a level of exclusivity."

In the new program, twelve well-known Dutch people embark on an adventure in a breathtaking location on the Mediterranean Sea. And the participants are better off leaving it closed, because, just like in the myth, opening it has ominous consequences. The game revolves not only around Pandora, but also features other Greek mythical figures. The challenges during the episodes are inspired by Sisyphus, and exciting encounters with Medusa's gaze take place. Each episode culminates in a confrontation with two cursed players fighting for survival, while competing against each other in a duel to avoid elimination. This means new relationships, alliances, and above all, unpredictability every week.

Hosted by comedian Christopher Titus, the half-hour game show Pawnography features contestants competing against each other and the Pawn Stars—Rick Harrison, Corey Harrison and Austin “Chumlee” Russell—in three fast-paced rounds of trivia style questions to win money and coveted items from the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawnshop. Game$how Marathon is an American television program which aired on CBS from May 31, 2006 to June 29, 2006. It is based on the UK series Ant & Dec's Gameshow Marathon which aired on ITV in 2005. The show features contestants competing in some of television's most historically popular game shows, in a single-elimination format until an ultimate winner is found. Both the UK and US versions featured celebrity contestants. The US version was produced by FremantleMedia North America and Granada America and was hosted by Ricki Lake and announced by Rich Fields. In the US, the series only aired for a single season, while in the UK a second season aired in 2007, this time entitled Gameshow Marathon and hosted by Vernon Kay. This program was recorded at Stage 46, CBS Television City in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
