Luc ou la part des choses is an ambitious and effective film about the story of a young man who "discovers" and assumes his homosexuality.

This gay coming of age film is based on the true story that took place among three boys at the University of Science and Technology of China. Wu Shuang and Xue Lei are good friends and they both have a crush on Chen Wei. After a period of suspicion, misunderstanding and forgiveness, Wu and Chen fall in love with each other, while Xue moves on and gives them his best wishes.

The film starts one year after the stories of 'Approach to Love' have unfolded. Main character Wu Shuang broke up with Chen Wei, with whom he was in a long-distance relationship. He suffers physically and mentally, and engages in random sex in order to stop the pain. At a sex date, Wu met Wang Yunchao, who is a teacher at his university. Wang started to stalk him, up until Wu relented and fell for him too. Wu found the courage to forget the past, and opened himself up to a new relationship. However, at that moment, Wang left him.

Nina, a mentally ill teenage orphan, starts a new job as a garden cleaner when she meets Toni. They fall in love but soon Toni starts betraying Nina. Meanwhile, Francoise is picked up at a Berlin psychiatric hospital by her husband, Pierre. After spotting Nina, Francoise believes that she has found her kidnapped daughter Marie, but no one believes her.
