In 2017, a short anime film called Hypersonic Music Club was produced in Japan. It was directed and written by Osamu Kobayashi, a veteran of the industry who passed away in April 2021. For various reasons, this short anime was never released. It was made public on August 1, 2023.

After threatening to commit suicide in 2012 if his music didn’t take off, Devon Hendryx (now known as JPEGMAFIA) created The Ghost Pop Tape with a new sound that seems to reflect his new feelings towards his music. The Ghost Pop Tape shows him at his most vulnerable and depressed state while he was living in Japan. It was released with a DVD film to accompany it. However, the DVD is currently lost media. A download for the movie was available at ghostpop.jp, along with a free download of the album.

Splash Party is a concert series that was announced at the start of Hololive Summer 2023. The Concert series runs for 2 days, on August 26 & 27, 2023. The concert is the first summer concert for Hololive, featuring 53 talents in total. The first day of the concert, Sunshine, was originally delayed due to server issues with the Z-an platform.The Sunshine event would later go on to be postponed entirely due to the persisting technical difficulties. After an apology and confirmation of refunds for day 1 ticket holders from Z-an, Hololive announced that Sunshine would be streamed for free on August 27th at 1 PM JST on the Hololive Youtube Channel.

In the encore, they introduced the KAMI BAND, dressed in white robes and corpse paint. This was their first time playing with a live metal band. The concert ended with the announcement of their new single Ijime, Dame, Zettai, set for release on January 9, 2013.

The show concluded with the announcement of their next concert, LEGEND "1999", confirming the continuance of their group activities. SU-METAL had recently graduated from Sakura Gakuin, and there was much anticipation regarding her future endeavors with BABYMETAL.
