D-Day remains one of the most important turning points of WWII, yet very few of us know the real story...until now.

The Jewel in the Crown is a 1984 British television miniseries based on Paul Scott's The Raj Quartet novels. In India during the final years of British rule in World War II, an unjust arrest for rape sets off questions of identity and personal responsibility being explored against a background of war and personal intrigue. The critically acclaimed drama explores the complex relationships between the British colonizers and the Indian population, focusing on themes of cultural clash, racial tension, and the decline of the empire.

A six-part French documentary about the Second World War composed exclusively of actual footage of the war as filmed by war correspondents, soldiers, resistance fighters and private citizens. The series is shown in color, with the black and white footage being fully colorized, save for some original color footage. The only exception to the treatment are most Holocaust scenes, which are presented in the original black and white.

Hitler was determined to extend Germany eastwards to make Germany a great continental power. Hitler's policy, based on a racist ideology, planned to eliminate or enslave the population that stood in the way of the Reich. It was this determination that propelled the world into war. Hitler believed that the conquest territories including Poland, the Belarussian and Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republics, and the Baltic States "for the German people" was his destiny.

It was a consistent ratings success in Australia, and also became popular in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Netherlands, Gibraltar and New Zealand.

War and Remembrance is an American miniseries based on the novel of the same name by Herman Wouk. It is the sequel to highly successful The Winds of War.

The cameras follow Joanna Lumley as she travels from East to West on a Trans-Siberian adventure. She starts in Hong Kong and crosses 5777 miles of both Asia and Europe, through seven time zones, taking in an immense panorama of vistas and cultures, people and places, before her final arrival in Moscow.

As WW2 rages around the world, DCS Foyle fights his own war on the home-front as he investigates crimes on the south coast of England. Foyle's War opens in southern England in the year 1940. Later series sees the retired detective working as an MI5 agent operating in the aftermath of the war.
