Monotony of Days

A teenage pioneer living inside a 2-dimensional plane embarks on an unprecedented journey.

17 year old Nói drifts through life on a remote fjord in Iceland. In winter, the fjord is cut off from the outside world, surrounded by ominous mountains and buried under a shroud of snow. Nói dreams of escaping from this white-walled prison with Íris, a city girl who works in a local gas station. But his clumsy attempts at escape spiral out of control.

John Person tells the story of how he fell into his coveted job by describing the life of Anatole, the man who occupied the position originally and cherished nothing more in his meager existence than his overcoat.

Iris is a shy and dowdy young woman stuck in a dead-end job at a match factory, who dreams of finding love at the local dancehall. Finding herself pregnant after a one-night stand and abandoned by the father, Iris finally decides the time has come to get even and she begins to plot her revenge.

MONEY is a dance film that explores the monotonous cycle of corporate 9-to-5 life. The dancers represent employees in a workplace that twists into a corporate nightmare, exposing the rigid and dehumanizing nature of the corporate world. Through movement, the film highlights the tension between control and rebellion, questioning the structures that define success and productivity that the workplace outlines for many everyday. with a sharp and unconventional movement vocabulary, MONEY challenges capitalist ideals and the way they shape daily life. The film breaks traditional boundaries, using dance to portray a system that demands conformity while suppressing individuality. Its rebellious undertones push against societal norms, making more room for fun and play.

André, a young worker overwhelmed by the monotony and lack of meaning in his life, finds solace in drawing. While recreating a photograph from his childhood, he enters a surreal world where he meets his childhood self. Between reality and fantasy, André faces his loneliness and seeks answers in the company of his inner child.
