Based on an old humorous Belarusian song. A peasant hired by a lord receives his well-deserved pay: for the first summer — a hen with chicks, for the second — a duck, for the third — a goose, for the fourth — a turkey, for the fifth — a calf, for the sixth — a ram, and for the seventh — a beautiful girl. But the gifts received from the lord's hands do not only bring joy: the girl got drunk and fell off the stove, and the ram broke the lord's legs.

A 6th-century Scandinavian warrior named Beowulf embarks on a mission to slay the man-like ogre, Grendel.

12-year-old Mia and her scruffy pet rat Quentin are sent to the mysterious Rotwood Academy after one too many problems at school. In stop-motion animation, a wardrobe moves through the countryside. It arrives in a house, a child's voice recites Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky," and various objects, such as toys and dolls, move about, disintegrate, and play out archetypal scenes.
