Based on Macbeth, PADDAYI is the story of Madhava and Sugandhi. They are newlyweds from the fishing community in Karnataka, Southern India. Driven by a Tulu deityʼs prophecy coupled with Sugandhiʼs ambition, Madhava murders Dinesh, illegally inherits Dineshʼ property and bring upon himself an eponymous tragedy.

Rajib's wife was always against him but she forgot that once when Loafer Bikram brought medicine at midnight breaking down the shutters of the store for her child, for which Loafer Bikram was arrested. In the mean while he fell in love with a girl called Tina whose father was a rich businessman. He disagreed with the realtionship of Tina with Loafer Bikram. Meanwhile Bikram's sister's marriage was fixed and an amount of rupees two lakh was needed. Loafer Bikram was offered some money by Tina's father to break his relationship with his daughter.
