A tormented investigative journalist, haunted by a disturbing video and an unrelenting thumping from the floor above, finds himself trapped in a collapsing psychological maze—where every corridor leads deeper into guilt, fractured identity, and a horrifying truth buried in his own mind.

Ryo works as a hairdresser at a successful beauty salon in Tokyo, Japan. He is popular at his workplace. A client, who works as a model, asks him to go out, but he says no. Due to turning down his client, Ryo is fired from his job. Making things worse, a fire breaks out at his apartment. Ryo then decides to go back to his hometown and work there. One day, he goes to the hospital to cut a girl's hair. After her haircut, the girl smiles and this changes Ryo.

"Doe" explores themes of addiction and survival through the lens of a man living on the streets of Hollywood who, over the course of 24 hours, drifts through a series of encounters that pull him in and out of the cycles of his compulsion.
