Many French-speaking artists from different countries pay tribute in song to the women and men who share and support the French language around the world. Four great ambassadors of music will guide the audience throughout the evening: Roch Voisine, Cœur de Pirate, Gims, and Mentissa. They are joined by a large number of artists, including Pierre de Maere, Ycare, Claudio Capéo, Axelle Red, Diane Dufresne, Cephaz, Khaled, Marie-José Lord, Sarahmée, Josianne, Radio Radio, Teety, Bilal Hassani, Emilie-Claire Barlow, and Olivier Dion. From the Agora in Quebec City's Old Port, in front of 8,000 people, this small world celebrates Francophonie in unison.

Formed in Kentucky by four friends at the dawn of the new millennium, Black Stone Cherry originally started playing music to escape the boredom of rural Edmonton, Kentucky. They were an instant sensation on the local rock scene and before long the hard rock quartet attracted the attention of the bigger labels. Their self-titled debut dropped in 2006 and they haven’t looked back since. BSC have been busy since their last appearance (GMM2015). Apart from ‘Black to Blues’, an EP that gives a number of blues classics a BSC makeover, there is also their 5th studio album ‘Kentucky’ (2016). Whereas Magic Mountain (2014) was somewhat heavier than its predecessors, ‘Kentucky’ is more versatile and showcases the full spectrum of Black Stone Cherry’s songwriting abilities. Their brand of hard rock is flavoured with southern rock. If you’re into no-holds-barred hard rock with heavy riffs and catchy choruses and you dig the occasional ballad, then Black Stone Cherry will do the trick.

The musical twins Elisabeth "Lzzy" and Arejay Hale composed songs at an early age. In 1997, the siblings Halestorm and recorded the stages of their hometown of Red Lion in Pennsylvania. The US rock band was inspired by artists such as Alice Cooper, van Halen and Cinderella. In 2003 and 2004, guitarist Joe Hottinger and bassist Josh Smith joined and completed the band. In 2013 Halestorm won a Grammy with the song Love Bites in the Best Hard Rock / Metal Performance category. In 2018, her fourth album Vicious was released.

BBC Four broadcasts Coldplay’s headline performance live from Radio 1’s Big Weekend Exeter 2016 - the station’s annual live music event and Europe’s largest free ticketed festival. A homecoming concert for local boy Chris Martin, surprises are expected as Coldplay headline the last set of the weekend on the main stage. The band will be closing the final day of the two-day event, which will host performances from over 50 of the biggest and freshest UK and international acts, bringing the nation together for a shared live music moment. Five members of Mladi levi, a legendary band from the 1960s and 1970s, decided after four decades to make a comeback. The film starts with the first meetings of the five pensioners who want to bring their old hits back to life and get all former band members on board. We follow them through months of preparations and rehearsals, and get an insight into their younger days when through music they were able to form a friendship that achieved what many thought impossible. In November 2014, with considerable attention from the media, they enthralled the audience in Ljubljana with two sold-out concerts.

An expedition of seven scientists, the Sanders-Hardiman expedition, discovers the tomb of the Incan mummy Rascar Capac and provokes the anger of the Sun God. A curse descends upon them. Meanwhile, Kuifje and Bobbie arrive on the train at Molensloot, and Kuifje talks to another traveller about the recent return of the expedition from Peru. He says that all will end badly, desecrating the burial chambers of the Incas like Tutankhamen's – five members of the expedition have already been mysteriously struck down.
