A gender-reversed, modern adaptation of the Greek myth Pygmalion. This time, instead of the sculptor who has sworn off marriage in his hatred of women, we find our hero in a young, depressed female writer who lives alone. After her own mythic relationship with her lover ends poorly, she struggles to go outside. Too afraid to act when she sees her dreamy neighbor, she stays inside, she watches, and she writes.

Frank, an introspective astrophysics major, visits a remote lab to work with his mentor; doctor Roberts. After his arrival, he finds that Helen; a young woman seemingly from another world, a metaphysical realm, has been taken in by the doctor. The unexplainable phenomena that follow force Frank and doctor Roberts to look at life from a different angle.

This psychedelic tour of life after death is seen entirely from the point of view of Oscar, a young American drug dealer and addict living in Tokyo with his prostitute sister, Linda. When Oscar is killed by police during a bust gone bad, his spirit journeys from the past -- where he sees his parents before their deaths -- to the present -- where he witnesses his own autopsy -- and then to the future, where he looks out for his sister from beyond the grave.

Created in response to a traumatic hate crime, artist, Venus Patel, explores her emotional journey through several archetypes, each of whom perform with an egg. Using the weapon of the assailant, the egg itself becomes a tool with many psychological and symbolic meanings within it. The power of reincarnation, birth, nature, hope while also pointing to the power it has to utterly humiliate and embarrass if used in a certain way. There is an embrace of the absurdity of these performances while still speaking to the deeper subject matter. By placing the outlandish characters into public spaces, they confront a preconceived notion of pushing true queer expression into only hidden spaces or only at night, into the daylight and into the normal everyday experience.

A struggling entrepreneur is visited by an archangel, who tells him that he has been chosen to act as a prophet and save his hometown from corruption. He must also battle a demon that has manifested in his life, constantly whispering negatives into his mind. His marriage, his business, and his sanity will be pushed to the limit on this spiritual quest to let go and find faith.

Kohata Anime Studio is a place full of dreams where animation is made. Baja was raised in this studio by the people who create animation. Floating in a pond outside are his friends the ducks.
