At the Penguin Village, the dinosaurs styled monster named Dodongadon appeared. But he was small as Arale and did not have strong power. Arale defeat him very easily, and Dodongadon called his mother Mamangadon. She was huge and had a big power. How Arale can defeat this big monster?

While at the beach Arale Norimaki rescues a shark. In return, the shark invites her and the rest of the Norimaki to their underwater city. Meanwhile, Suppaman intends to follow them and get revenge. While in the city, Arale meets Urashima Tarō, who joins Arale while playing at the amusement park.

The Norimaki Family, the Soramame Family, Suppaman, and Dr. Mashirito end up coming to a summer resort which is really a haunted castle filled with monsters. While enjoying the many facilities, such as the arcades and hot spring baths, they all end up falling into the clutches of Vandora, a female vampire who intends to feed off them.

Arale and company arrive at a nice location for a picnic. They soon discover a beautiful stone with strange powers. Before they know it, a dangerous pirate and his mysterious ship invades their peace and steals the stone. Now it is up to them to retrieve the stone before it is used by evil hands.

Dr. Mashirito and Abale-chan centers around Dr. Mashirito Jr. and his creation Abale, who serves as a rebellious opposite of the protagonist Arale. Many years after the end of Dr. Slump, Dr. Mashirito Jr. returns to avenge his father Dr. Mashirito, the sworn enemy of Senbei Norimaki. He makes an android at any point similar to Arale, except for her character that is somewhat different. He gives the name "Abale" to this android. In spite of itself, Abale will successfully contain an alien invasion.

Legendary anime director Rintaro’s (Metropolis, X/1999, Galaxy Express 999) first new work in over a decade depicts pioneering 1930s director Sadao Yamanaka and the production of his Nezumikozo Jirokichi. Despite dying before the age of 30, Yamanaka was a pivotal influence in Japanese cinema whose work would go on to inspire future generations. While most of his films have been lost to time, his scripts remain, and Nezumikozo Jirokichi recreates one of these lost films—a tale of a famous, virtuous bandit in old Edo—as imagined by Rintaro together with an all-star team including Katsuhiro Otomo (Akira, Memories), Taro Maki (Pluto, Millennium Actress) and Masao Maruyama (Ninja Scroll, Perfect Blue).
