Fujita Jun and her husband Yoshio, married for 15 years, live in a rural area near Kichijoji. Jun works as a university clerk. while Yoshio works remotely. Together, they create a historical meal recipe using local ingredients.

A Chip Off the Old Block is a 2009 TVB television drama from Hong Kong produced and created by Poon Ka Tak. The original broadcast was on the TVB Jade with approximately 45-minute long episodes airing five days a week. The final two episodes were an hour and a half long each, which aired during the weekends. A Chip Off the Old Block tells the story of the articulate businessman Chor Chi, who accidentally travels back in time to the 1960s and meets his younger father, Chor Fan.

Kim Rae-Won stars as the warm hearted chef-in-training Lee Sung-Chan, while actress Nam Sang-Mi plays a silly country girl, Kim Jin-soo, who trails Lee with high hopes of becoming a food columnist. Leaving the heavy responsibility of becoming the head chef of Oh's famous restaurant to his stepbrother, he explores the world of cooking and discovers that he's actually good at it. When Oh announces that he will not choose his own son to become the owner and head chef, cold-hearted jealousy and competition arise.

It mainly tells the love story between Shen Ying and Zheng Dao who are two very different people in terms of personality and professions. But, both of them share two things in common which is the same interests and goals, that is, they want to share all kinds of healthy delicacies to the world, as they harvested their own love story. Shen Ying is a magazine food editor. She is an independent and hardworking person. She is pretty and kind to others. Zheng Dao is the special director of the Gourmet Edition of the magazine. He has a cold and arrogant personality. He is very principled and particular in doing things. He has very strict requirements for food.

Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK…
