Reviews
*Unabomber* (2026) is a gripping, psychologically heavy crime drama that commands attention through its stellar performances, anchored by Jacob Tremblay's eerie intensity as a young Ted Kaczynski and Russell Crowe's chillingly charismatic turn as Professor Henry Murray. Director Janus Metz crafts a tense, moody atmosphere that excels when exploring the dark, formative university experiments and the harrowing path of isolation. While some of the procedural FBI investigation beats feel slightly routine compared to its riveting character study, the film succeeds wildly as an unsettling, thought-provoking descent into radicalization. A compelling and polished 8/10.
I like how Netflix took the work that men did, gave it to a fictional female FBI agent, and then used the FICTIONAL female FBI Agent to lecture the audience on how incompetent the men who actually caught him are for being men. Because what Netflix really likes doing is making movies like every other movie Netflix makes. No need to change the "inject identity politics into everything" formula now that people are sick and tired of it. Just stay the course.
Meanwhile I'll just watch Tubi's massive selection of old movies that don't lecture nonstop, and thank God that the only reason we have Netflix is because it came free with my cellular plan.
