Two rival home shopping hosts are forced together while competing for a promotion. Along the way they find their on-air chemistry kindles an off-air spark.

Joe Boyd, an aging Washington Senators fan, would sell his soul for the Senators to beat the New York Yankees and win the pennant. Enter Mr. Applegate, who offers to turn Boyd into Joe Hardy, a powerful young baseball player, in exchange for his soul. When Boyd agrees, he becomes Hardy and leads the Senators on a winning streak. When he starts to miss his wife, though, and questions the deal, Applegate sends temptress Lola into the mix.

While touring a museum, Rodney Hatch, an unremarkable barber, places an engagement ring intended for his girlfriend on the hand of a statue of Venus, the goddess of love and beauty. From Mount Olympus, Venus witnesses the event and decides to visit Rodney on Earth by magically inhabiting the statue. Hilarity ensues when she starts to fall in love with Rodney and competes with his girlfriend for his attentions. This television version of Kurt Weill's successful Broadway musical is much more faithful to the stage version than the 1948 Ava Gardner film, which changed the story considerably and cut most of the songs.

Royston Tan's film first aired on the okto channel on 8 August 2010, 10pm. It was later produced as DVDs for sale at Books Kinokuniya, BooksActually & Objectifs. Prior to the production, members of the public were invited to call in to the radio to recount their significant memories of places in Singapore – places that will soon disappear or be redeveloped. These personal stories come alive through the callers’ narration and the stunning visuals that capture the nostalgia and hidden beauty of the places. Re-discover Singapore and journey to places like a playground in Toa Payoh, a barbershop at Commonwealth Avenue, Capitol cinema, and an unassuming bakery in Whampoa. Otomo, a teacher, and Imabayashi, a high school student, regret having left a student and Imabayashi's best friend, Tadokoro, standing in the rain in the schoolyard, where he died of exhaustion. Both Tadokoro and Imabayashi held love for their teacher; but he know demands his execution.

A global flood is approaching, but Lesha will be able to escape, because he has a boat. However, on his grief, a hunter enters the game, who considers the boat to be his property, and who is trying with all his might to take it away. On the way to the finale, in addition to the hunter, Lesha meets other equally wonderful characters who react with curiosity to the young man's strange decision to sit in a boat and wait for a flood.

They find a lesbian teacher called Ayako interested in fake marriage on the internet. However, when they go to meet her the angry girlfriend of Ayako called Ami shows up and a man tries to catch Hiroshi for not paying his 1 million yen debt. They steal a van and Ami, Hiroshi and Toshiya drive off in hopes of finding Ayako.
