The exploits of a group of men and women who serve the City of New York as police officers, firemen, and paramedics, all working the same fictional 55th precinct during the 3pm to 11pm shift - the 'Third Watch'.

Follows the story of a young firefighter who, despite the difficulties, does not give up on his choice of profession.

An experienced fire fighter is badly injured and spends almost a year recovering at home. Now he returns to work, but is he as emotionally and physically sound as he thinks he is?

Fire chief Song Yan and emergency doctor Xu Qin were separated by family opposition when they were younger. Now ten years later, they meet again due to their professions. After experiencing life and death together, they manage to find their way back, working together and encouraging each other. They acknowledge each other's individual growth after years apart, but will they be able to overcome the obstacles in their path this time to stay together?

The crew of Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 51, particularly the paramedic team, and Rampart Hospital respond to emergencies in their operating area.

Encouraged by the fireman leader Chung Yau-sing, young and playful Fong Lei-on joins the team and gets to know Cheuk Pak-yu. Unfortunately, the two of them are having lots of misunderstanding at work. Lei-on believes that Pak-yu has stolen Yau-sing's lover, fire department clerk Ko Wai-ying, and causes the serious injury of Yau-sing. Meanwhile, a gruesome fire accident has drawn everyone into a twist of fate that has led them to find a deeper sense of awareness.

London's Burning is a British television drama programme produced by London Weekend Television for the ITV network that focused on the lives of members of the London Fire Brigade, principally those of the Blue Watch at a fictional fire station called Blackwall. It was broadcast between 1988 and 2002 in the United Kingdom and was shown in Canada on digital television station CBC Country Canada. In the UK, Discovery's entertainment channel, DMAX have also shown repeats of the later series, mainly 11 through 14.
