Projota - AMADMOL (A Milenar Arte de Meter o Louco)

A very free adaptation of Marlowe's "Doctor Faustus", Goethe's "Faust" and various other treatments of the old legend of the man who sold his soul to the devil. A nondescript man is lured by a strange map into a sinister puppet theatre, where he finds himself immersed in an indescribably weird version of the play, blending live actors, clay animation and giant puppets.

Pavel Pavlovich Goryaev is not that young of an actor. For many years he plays in the provincial theater in leading roles. The director of a play based on a play that was written for Goryaev takes the young actor for his role. Goryaev at first falls into despair, leaves the theater, turns to friends. After a while he digests what happened and realizes that it is time to leave the stage with dignity.

A blonde who prefers homos, two homos who love each other, a homo who would like to be loved, and a straight guy who prefers the blonde ... who prefers homos! Through a modern marivaudage, the authors highlight the upheavals of sexual identity and couple relationships. Because in the end, there is no question here of being straight or being gay, but of loving and being loved! Misunderstandings, ambiguous reports, revelations and twists follow one another in this very current comedy of manners with a frantic pace!
