John's first independent work from 1989. Won Best of Fest Shorts at the Cinequest Film Festival, CA. The film is comprised of highly rendered drawings with very little moving parts to tell a complex story of relationships "gone to the birds".

Kino, a traveler who journeys the world with his talking motorcycle, Hermes, arrives in a country where people live inside massive domes. There, she meets a girl named Inertia, who asks him to deliver a letter to her pen pal—a boy who lives outside the dome.

A dachshund on a leash pulls his master forward, despite all the barriers that occur on their way. The dachshund thinks that he pulls not his master but something huge and heavy.

A woman is forced by her husband to be shut-up for ever. But when she listens to nature's song, she refinds her own song and the hope of a different life.

A little pigeon finds a strange substance and decides to take a chance by trying the new treat—after all, why not? Pigeons are already odd, so what harm could it do?
