Munish and JK were friends, bound together in many ways. JK has helped Munish in his education, a trip to England for higher education and has now made him Engineer-in-charge for his prestigious dam project. JK's brother Ravi is engaged to Munish's sister. Anand Math is a 1952 Hindi patriotic-historical film directed by Hemen Gupta, based on Anandamath, the famous Bengali novel written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1882. The novel and film are set in the events of the Sannyasi Rebellion, which took place in the late 18th century in eastern India, especially Bengal.

During a jail riot instigated by convict Jaggu (Joginder), the Jailer, Arun Mehra's (Dev Anand) life is threatened and another convict, Dinesh (Satish Kaul), risks his life to save Arun. Arun and his mother, Mrs. Mehra (Sulochana) find out that Dinesh is on death-row for killing noted Professor Ashok Verma. Arun does not believe that Dinesh is guilty and so he arranges his escape from prison. As a result Arun has not only the police, including his own father, Inspector General of Police Mehra (Pran) after him on a manhunt but also underworld don Master (Ajit) and his men; and a cold-hearted female assassin (Zeenat Aman) who has reserved two bullets in her gun for Arun and Dinesh.

The Government of India has devised plans for a new kind of super aircraft. A gangster, Diwan, manages to procure this plan from corrupt military officials, and hides it in his safe along with other valuables. The police find out that the plans have been stolen by a "Diwan", and start a manhunt for all Diwans in Bombay.

Watch what happens when Suraj is arrested and lodged in a dungeon, and preparations are set forth for the coronation of Pratap and his subsequently marriage with Anuradha.

Anju lives a wealthy lifestyle with her widowed dad, Dhanraj, on a privately owned island. She studies in a hostel, plays on the football team, but is known for getting into fights with other girls, rather then taking part in this sport. But before that could happen, six men men who had duped by Dhanraj several years ago, arrive on the island incognito, enlist the assistance of the island's native people, led by Heera, who have been oppressed by Dhanraj and Captain Ashok, to recover their loot and kill Dhanraj and Anju. It is here that Anju will find out that the reason Shekhar accompanied her was not because he loves her, but for quite some other unknown and devious reason.
