Barbro Hörberg

Gösta is a lorry driver and has been married to Birgitta for eight years. Their marriage is only held together by their daughter. Gösta picks up girls along the roads and during a drive to Malmö he stumbles on the singing actress Irene. Gösta is captivated by her romantic presence and her joy of life. Besides picking up women, Gösta is sometimes affected by sudden seizures. His wife is unaware of this.

"In rain and shine" - Sid och Filibert are identical twins. Sid is a theater manager and composer and when his brother arrives to Stockholm for a position at the Museum of Natural History, Filibert is mistaken for Sid.

Marianne and Jojje are in the last grade of a Stockholm high school. Jojje is very fond of his talented, sensitive classmate. His love is not answered. The students come from different social and economical environments.

A series of modernist sketches. A bunch of songs by Olle Adolphson, Owe Thörnqvist, Beppe Wolgers and Lars Forsell are performed in the film. The most famous, Mitt egen land, is sung by Monica Nielsen. Three years before it was first heard on record, then by the composer himself, Olle Adolphson.

Hasse has received a scholarship from the insurance company where he works together with his friend Lennart. They both travel to Vienna so that Hasse can take a few days off, while Lennart attends lectures about insurance. While away, Lennart has rented his room to a girl, Alva. When he returns home earlier than expected, they have to share the apartment a few days...
