Three women artists from Berlin collaborate on an exhibition sponsored by a biotech firm and end up being the first people to experience the fascinating symptoms of an evolutionary leap.

A woman goes through a weekend full of ups and downs after a shocking diagnose, according to which she has less than a year left to live.

Five women, five lifestyles that could not be any different: her career at an agency takes top priority for business woman Fe, even over her relationship. Charlie, a single Mom raising a three year-old daughter remains the "permanent" intern and hairdresser Mandy is a chocoholic longing to be skinny and dreaming of a man to settle down with, whereas single lady Frieda meets men daily but stomps out any emotions before they even arise due to her fear of commitment. And then there is Karo, the mother hen, who discovers that her husband is seeing another woman. Or is he? The five stories of these women all tell a tale of life in Berlin. Strange at times, desperate too, and even tragic - yet in the end, they all find a new perspective on life

The story is set in the midst of war-torn Gaza during the Second Intifada in 2003, where two 12-year-old boys, one Palestinian and the other Israeli, along with an ex-surfing champion, form an unlikely friendship over their mutual love for the water. The lessons they learn from one another go beyond the waves, helping influence their decision-making and show their community that peace can exist.

In the final analysis, it all comes down to guilt, different shades of guilt that one assumes in a single moment of thoughtlessness or in months of premeditated planning. Defence Attorney Friedrich Knonberg knows he must tip legal scales of justice in favour of his client for crimes that are never black and white and what they may seem. In German with subtitles.
