The bald man becomes a cameraman for a newsreel.

One of the series about the adventures of Baldy, played by French comedian Rober Reynols, who had moved to Russia, was a raving success with illiterate audiences before the revolution. Universal gags plus expressive gesticulation - and the credits were no longer needed.

Documentary film about early years of Russian cinema: its first directors, cameramen, producers and actors. Includes rare fragments of pre-revolutionary feature films, newsreels and Starewicz's animation.
