Evil assassins want to kill Daniel Küblböck, the third runner up for the German Idols.

In 1989, Jenny Ecker, an 18-year-old daughter of an entrepreneur, flees from Hildesheim to the east - out of love. The teenager has fallen hopelessly in love with an East Berliner. Jenny’s parents are foaming from wrath and offer a reward: One-hundred thousand, later even a million, deutschmarks for whoever brings them their daughter back. The prospect of so much money gets east and west into quite a disarray – and in the end, the Wall really falls.

Long awaited by the fans and now finally on sale: the DVD with live recordings of Daniel's autumn tour ("PE Tour") from 2003. Mainly with recordings of the opening concert at the Circus Krone in Munich, the DVD offers a colourful mix of concert recordings, interviews and backstage material. Two hours of Daniel live!

The ratings rose in equal measure to the enthusiasm for the search for a superstar, and both the candidates and the show's jury provided plenty to talk about in Germany. It started with the auditions and spread like wildfire after the intermediate round: Germans are infected by "superstar fever"! The DVD offers the large fan community another look back at the show, from many unpublished pictures, the most embarrassing appearances in the "castings" and exclusive interviews with all the finalists. In 2002, Lana Kaiser became well known in the first season of the German version of the Idol television franchise. She was born in 1985 and went by her birth name Daniel Küblböck. At only 17 years old she polarised the audience with her androgynous appearance and open bisexuality. On September 9th 2018, Lana disappeared from a cruise ship on her way to North America. Most media outlets and the majority of the public didn‘t consider calling her by her chosen name, Lana Kaiser. Philipp Gufler's video installation is a personal portrait of the singer and entertainer.

Deutschland sucht den Superstar is a German reality talent show, also commonly known by its initials DSDS. Part of the Idol franchise, it was created by English media mogul Simon Fuller as a spin-off from the British show Pop Idol, of which two series were broadcast between the years of 2001 and 2003. Debuting to mediocre ratings in October 2002 on the RTL network, the show has since become one of the most successful shows on German television. The program aims to discover the best singer in the country through a series of nationwide auditions in which viewer voting determines the winner. Voting is done through telephone and SMS text voting.

German version of Dancing with the Stars, the reality competition in which celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which are judged by a panel of renowned ballroom experts and voted on by viewers.
