The group draws the lawnmower into a maze and even gets it into the water, but the lawnmower just keeps on chasing. The Pokémon build a road out of logs, hoping to get the lawnmower into a shack, but Psyduck trips and ruins the whole setup. How will the friends ever escape the lawnmower? This fantasy will have you on the edge of your seat!

40 years ago, a Celebi was being attacked by a Pokemon Hunter. Luckily, a young boy named Yukinari saved Celebi. There, Satoshi, Kasumi, and Takeshi assist Yukinari to the healing lake in the forest so they can heal the wounded Celebi. Unfortunately an evil Team Rocket member, Vicious, tries to capture Celebi using his technology. As Satoshi and Co. try to get away from Vicious, they also run into Musashi, Kojiro, and Nyarth, who also want to capture Celebi. Soon it becomes a race against time to get Celebi and Yukinari back to the forest before Celebi is caught and is used to destroy the forest and themselves.

The Team Rocket leader, Giovanni, has found Mewtwo in a remote area of the Johto region. The Clone Pokemon are also captured and are then used as bait for Mewtwo. The situation then becomes a battle between the wills of Mewtwo and Giovanni; and Mewtwo also tries to discover if it and the clones have a purpose in life, even though they are products of science.

It's a beautiful winter day in the Johto region, and Brock, Misty, and Ash are heading into town to pick up a few things for the cabin they're spending the day in. Once again, Pikachu is left in charge, and Togepi, Psyduck, and Vulpix run up to send them off, although Chikorita soon squeezes herself in to do the same. After admonitions from Misty to take care of Togepi, and Brock telling Vulpix to behave itself, the humans head on their way.
While visiting a big city with Ash, Pikachu meets the Pichu Brothers—Pichu Little, the rambunctious younger half, and Pichu Big, the reserved older half. Pikachu does its best to keep Pichu Little from falling off a building, but it ends up falling off itself! The adventures continue as Pikachu and the Pichu Brothers roll off the top of a bus, fall into a river, and then fly into the air and onto the back of a Houndour! With the angry Houndour in hot pursuit, the trio makes its way to a pile of tires that serves as a “secret fort.” All the hustle and bustle, though, sends the fort tumbling down. With the help of some Pokémon, the group works together to rebuild the fort—but Pikachu remembers that it has to get back to Ash. The Pichu Brothers whisk Pikachu away and head for the building where Ash is waiting, but will they manage to get there in time?

2167 AD is shown to be devastated by a powerful electromagnetic shockwave. This is caused by a nearby star, Hydrus Beta, 20 light-years away, going supernova. The series itself is set 189 years later, in the year 2356 AD. Civilization has been rebuilt with humanity having united together to face the coming of the second shockwave of the supernova. The second shockwave, unlike the first, is to contain a great deal of matter composed of the remnants of the star itself.
