Jimmy Tong is an expert blackmailer and thief who specialises in white-collar crimes. Chu Liuxiang is the famous "Chief of Bandits" in the jianghu. His qinggong is unmatched and he leaves behind a trail of fragrance everywhere he goes. This series is one of the sleeper-hits of 2003. Made with a low budget, it managed to garner good viewership ratings in Hong Kong despite being overshadowed by other high profile productions. Story-wise, “Fate Twisters” is unremarkable, playing on familiar scenarios such as a rich man finding his long-lost son, corporate ladder struggles, and the lives of the lower middle-class. But what made it such a success were the spot-on casting, accomplished characterization, and outstanding performances all round.

The Gem of Life was a TVB grand production drama, that broadcast between October 2008 and February 2009. The series was specifically filmed to celebrate TVB's 41st Anniversary. The series was filmed in many locations apart from Hong Kong, including Tibet, Taiwan and France.

The series revolves around the ups and downs of the life of a painter during the Qing dynasty, Cheng Ban Kiu. Through many endeavours to prove his painting skills, Ban Kiu became a celebrated painter and expert in drawing bamboos (in which is a shared interest with the emperor, who went in search for the best bamboo painting to be buried with him when he passes away). Ban Kiu was also famous for his quote, "Ignorance is Bliss", which in the end can ironically cause him many troubles.
