Documentary about the poet, writer and playwright Hilda Hilst, considered by critics as one of the most important voices of the Portuguese language of the twentieth century. Through the use of personal sound and image files, interviews, meetings and fictional interventions, we will seek the memory and the presence of Hilda Hilst in her daily life at Casa do Sol, the farm where she lived in Campinas.

The film features the wonderful poet of the early 20th century, Count Vasily Komarovsky. The poets Nikolai Gumilyov, Anna Akhmatova and Osip Mandelstam, among other celebrities, were not only his acquaintances but he had a considerable influence on their work. The poet’s extraordinary life gave birth to legends, whose plausibility will also be dwelt upon. Komarovsky’s niece will share her recollections with the viewer. The film is based on unique documents previously unknown to Russian and foreign scholars.

NO BAD TAKES is a raw, offbeat documentary nearly a decade in the making, following the longest—and possibly last—literary journey of legendary cult writer William T. Vollmann. Capturing both the mind of the artist and a fractured portrait of America, the film is a meditation on impermanence, friendship, and the possibilities of the creative process when one is open to the world.

Bernadette Corporation describes this work as "A fashion film about the poetry of Stéphane Mallarmé and the color white."
