D.I.Y. is an extrospective dissection of Pop-Punk; from the SoCal garages of the 80’s to the enduring impact the genre has had on music, fashion, and culture.

January 13th, 2024; Suffolk County's punk, grunge, and emo scenes are showcased through the more than a hundred attendees at Caveversary; an annual celebration of the independent basement venue, The Cave.

CYCLE pierces the silence surrounding police violence in America through the killing of Ty’rese West, an 18-year-old Black teenager whose death at the hands of police occurred without cameras, witnesses, or public scrutiny. In the absence of visual evidence, his case slipped quietly out of view—mirroring a broader pattern in which accountability depends on what can be seen. The film follows the aftermath of an unseen death: closed courtrooms, shifting official narratives, and the toll of pursuing answers within opaque systems of power. Rather than relying on the virality of a moment, CYCLE examines how silence functions within institutions, and how families are left to carry truth forward when justice fails.

Crash 'n' Burn is an experimental film shot in and named after Toronto, Ontario's first punk rock club. (Not to be confused with Peter Vronsky's similarly titled 1977 documentary on the Toronto punk scene made for the CBC television network.) The public will now have a chance to hear the story, not just from a member of the band, but also from a man who had his contributions exceptionally downplayed.

A new documentary, exploring the Chelsea Hotel's role in the cultural and artistic movements of the 20th century, from the Beat Generation to the Punk Rock scene. Dash Snow rejected a life of privilege to make his own way as an artist on the streets of downtown New York City in the late 1990s. Developing from a notorious graffiti tagger into an international art star, he documented his drug- and alcohol-fueled nights with the surrogate family he formed with friends and fellow artists Ryan McGinley and Dan Colen before his death by heroin overdose in 2009. Drawing from Snow’s unforgettable body of work and involving archival footage, Cheryl Dunn’s exceptional portrait captures his all-too-brief life of reckless excess and creativity.

Metzer 58 play Punk. They were founded in a meet-up at Lebenshilfe Münster, an NGO that provides housing and other services to people with disabilities. The band consists of disabled people and able-bodied people. That doesn't really affect the topic of their songs or the amount of chaos and excess at their gigs, though. In this documentary, director Tobias Stiegler follows the band on tour and paints an intriguing portrait of Metzer 58

A road documentary shot from the inside of the last Black Flag tour ever (the 1986 “In My Head” US tour.)
