In modern-day 2020, a young woman races to safety while she is being hunted by a serial killer. As she clings to survival she stumbles upon a closing restaurant. With safety in reach, she is rudely reminded that she needs to have a mask to enter the premises.

A reporter from the TV station went to Zhangtou Village, a remote mountain village known for monkey opera, arranged by colleagues Fang Hong and Xiaobin on the TV station to interview. However, after entering the village, many strange things happened to them one after another. Out of the professional instinct of discovering and revealing secrets, the three reporters went deep into the mountain forest to find out, but "Xiaoguang" suddenly went crazy and even disappeared, covering the mountain village with strange things with an unknown fear.

Rainer Kohlberger’s abstract film was created entirely without a camera. Through digital algorithms, he precisely arranged a rhythm of light and shadow that pulsates off the screen into our physical space with blinding intensity. The presence of light is almost felt as we are sucked into the image to become its ghostly accomplice. As we leave the theatre, the optical vibrations continue to haunt us.
