Iréne Söderblom

Biography

Iréne Eleonor Söderblom, born 19 November 1921 in Gothenburg, was a Swedish actress, singer and accordionist. Iréne Söderblom is the daughter of the ball bearing worker Erik Herman Söderblom and Hulda Maria, unmarried Ahl. She started playing accordion early, took lessons for Fredrik Tancred and was discovered when she won an accordion contest in Gothenburg in 1941. She then went to Åke Söderblom (with whom she is not related), Sickan Carlsson, Lasse Dahlquist, Maritta Marke and Thor Modéen. She was accordion soloist at Chinavarietén in 1944. Söderblom took talks at Calle Barcklind and was adopted in 1945 at Terserus Teaterskola. That same year she was engaged by the Casino Force where she played for ten seasons. She is one of the founders of the Stall Birds. She was married to the actor and casino director Gösta Bernhard (1910-1986) in 1947-1970 and received her daughter Lillemor (born 1948). Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Evgeny Yufit

Biography

Yevgeny Yufit (also known as Evgenii Iufit, 1961 – 13 December 2016) was a Russian filmmaker, photographer and painter, born in Leningrad. He was a founding member of Russia's Parallel Cinema movement. Yufit first became famous for his macabre short films, which, like the films of Guy Maddin, often looked as though they had been made during the 1920s or 1930s. In the 1990s, Yufit began making features similar in style to his shorts, with plots often centered on genetic experimentation and pseudoscience. He is often described as a necrorealist. Vaughn Taylor

Biography

Vaughn Taylor  (February 22, 1910 – April 26, 1983) was an American film and television actor. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts. His film credits include Jailhouse Rock, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Psycho and In Cold Blood. In his many television appearances, Taylor appeared in several episodes of the Twilight Zone, including the role of the salesman in the episode" I Sing the Body Electric". He also appeared in "Time Enough at Last", "Still Valley", an episode of "The Outer Limits" called "The Guests" as the character Mr. Latimer, "The Incredible World of Horace Ford" and "The Self-Improvement of Salvadore Ross". In 1958, he appeared as a doctor shot to death in the back by the brother, played by Nick Adams of an outlaw, portrayed by Michael Landon, whom he had treated in the Steve McQueen CBS western Wanted: Dead or Alive. Taylor appeared three times in the 1960–1961 season in the syndicated series COronado 9 starring Rod Cameron. He guest starred in 1961 as a veterinarian in the ABC sitcom The Hathaways, starring Peggy Cass, Jack Weston, and the Marquis Chimps. Taylor also appeared in 1961 in James Franciscus's short-lived CBS drama series, The Investigators. He was also a frequent guest on the Perry Mason series, appearing a total of eight times (including the first episode). He died in 1983, aged 73, two months before the release of Psycho II, which was the sequel to the original Psycho. Franck de la Personne is the son of Jacques Lapersonne and Jacqueline Charlotte Poinson. He also has brothers and sisters. He graduated from the Conservatoire de Paris. As of February 2017, he openly supports Marine Le Pen in the French presidential election. He is also running in the 2017 French legislative election to represent the Somme for the National Front. Hong Chau (born June 25, 1979) is a Vietnamese-American actress who gained recognition for her supporting role in the 2017 film Downsizing, in which she played the character Ngoc Lan Tran. For her performance, she was nominated for several supporting-actress awards. Variety wrote in 2022 that Chau had "been prolific in recent years" and that she had "an acclaimed turn" in the TV series Watchmen (2019) and Homecoming (2018–2020). Before Downsizing, she appeared in the television series Treme (2010–2013) and the film Inherent Vice (2014). In 2018, she had guest star roles in several TV series. In 2019, she played a supporting role in the limited series Watchmen, and had leading roles in the films American Woman and Driveways. In 2020, she had a starring role in the second season of the TV series Homecoming, having had a supporting role in its first season in 2018. In 2022, she appeared in supporting roles in the films Showing Up, The Menu, and The Whale with the latter earning her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Chau was born to Vietnamese parents who lived in a refugee camp in Thailand after fleeing Vietnam in the late 1970s. A Vietnamese Catholic church in New Orleans, Louisiana sponsored Chau and her family to move to the United States. She grew up in New Orleans and studied film at Boston University before pursuing an acting career.

Aarathi (Kannada: ಆರತಿ ; born 1954)[1] is an Indian actress turned director who works predominantly in Kannada language films. She is best known for her acting prowess in many author backed female centric roles during the 1970s and 1980s. After her self-declared retirement from films in the late 1980s, she returned as director with Mithayi Mane (2005) which met with critical appreciation and also won the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Children's Film. As a lead actress in more than 125 feature films, Aarathi was considered to be among the top league of actresses of her time, having won the Filmfare awards and the Karnataka State Film Award for Best Actress four times each. She was also nominated as the Member of Legislative Council at the Vidhana parishad making her only the second actress after B. Jayamma.

After studying at IDHEC from 1959 to 1961, he worked for television from 1962 to 1968. He was co-producer and director of the program Lire: he signed fifteen documentaries and four TV movies. In 1967 he filmed his first short film, Assommons les pauvres, with stolen film. He left the ORTF after the strike movement of May 1968. He then devoted himself to the realization of his experimental feature film (Le Joueur de quilles), produced by Jean-Edern Hallier, and three short films produced by Pierre Braunberger. He collaborated in the journal Cinéthique from 1975.
