Sean Connery

Biography

Sir Thomas Sean Connery (August 25, 1930 – October 31, 2020) was a Scottish actor and producer who won an Academy Award, two BAFTA Awards (one being a BAFTA Academy Fellowship Award), and three Golden Globes, including the Cecil B. DeMille Award and a Henrietta Award. Connery was the first actor to portray the character James Bond in film, starring in seven Bond films (every film from Dr. No to You Only Live Twice, plus Diamonds Are Forever and Never Say Never Again), between 1962 and 1983. In 1988, Connery won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Untouchables. His films also include Marnie (1964), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), The Man Who Would Be King (1975), A Bridge Too Far (1977), Highlander (1986), Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Dragonheart (1996), The Rock (1996), and Finding Forrester (2000). Connery was polled in a 2004 The Sunday Herald as "The Greatest Living Scot" and in a 2011 EuroMillions survey as "Scotland's Greatest Living National Treasure". He was voted by People magazine as both the “Sexiest Man Alive" in 1989 and the "Sexiest Man of the Century” in 1999. He received a lifetime achievement award in the United States with a Kennedy Center Honor in 1999. Connery was knighted in the 2000 New Year Honours for services to film drama. Mary Collinson

​From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Mary Collinson  (born July 22, 1952 in Malta) is a model and actress . She was chosen as Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month in October 1970, together with her twin sister Madeleine Collinson. They were the first identical twin Playmate sisters. The Collinson Twins first arrived in Britain in April 1969, and prior to their appearance in Playboy one of the first people to use them was the famed glamour photographer/film maker Harrison Marks who cast them as saucy maids in his short film Halfway Inn. The film, made for the 8mm market, was shot sometime between their British Arrival, and July 1970, when a still from the film was used in a Marks' Advert that ran in that months issue of Continental Film Review magazine. Her sister is quoted in The Playmate Book as saying that Mary has two daughters and now lives in Milan with an "Italian gentleman," who she has been with for more than 20 years. In 1988 she starred in Phantasm II playing Liz Reynolds, and in 1990 she also appeared on Beverly Hills, 90210 during the first season as Sheryl and on Growing Pains as Lori McNeil. She is best known for her portrayal of the second Lily Blake Capwell on the NBC daytime drama Santa Barbara from 1991 to 1993. She retired from acting in 1994. Pons Maar

Biography

Pons Maar is originally from Florida where he studied ceramics and visual art. After moving to San Francisco he became a fixture on the local arts scene as a graphic designer and performance artist, and, as a musician, playing in a couple of art/punk bands. At one of his solo performances of 'Natural Enemies' he was seen by Oscar-winning Sound Designer/Editor Walter Murch and cast as the Lead Wheeler in Walter's first directing effort Return to Oz (1985). Pons acted in the film as well as serving as the Performance Coordinator, starting what was to become a pattern of working on both sides of the camera. Following with other non-human roles in Golden Child (1987) and Masters of the Universe (1988) he continued to delve deeper into extreme latex makeup and huge, hot, and heavy creature and fantasy character suits. After the full 65 episode run on the TV show Dinosaurs (1991) and playing the lead character in Theodore Rex (1995). Pons then focused on Coordinating Puppets and Creatures in various feature films and TV productions. Pons served as the Co-Head of the Screen Actor's Guild Puppeteer Committee from 2003-2005. During this time he and co-head, Kevin Carlson, were able to change the puppeteer's status from a caucus to a full committee. Currently (2017) he is a partner in TASTY NAME a boutique video production company based in Alameda, CA.

Hank Strong is an actor who earned his name as a bodybuilder and a celebrity bodyguard in his younger years. Standing six feet six inches tall and weighing in at 270lbs, this actor is more than meets the eye. This beefcake may be all muscle but is also a former NYU student flexing his biggest muscle, his brain. Don't mistake this actor for a theatre geek. In the feature film, "King of Staten Island," Strong plays firefighter, Sandy Gardner. After seeing this movie, Howard Stern the most moving scene was the fire fighting scene that Hank Strong stars in. Shortly after, Strong secured a role in Gotham, an action crime drama television series produced by the Warner Brothers based on DC Comics Batman Franchise showcases classic characters many of us know such as: Batman, Penguin, and the Riddler to name a few. From superstar to super villain, the actor plays the role of "Lunkhead" a sinister criminal with only bad intentions. In this role, he is able to live out childhood dreams surviving fights with both the Joker and Bruce Wayne, but ultimately meets his demise when he clashes with Catwoman. Though his character, "Lunkhead," meets his end, that is not the end of Strong. The actor has all the ingredients that make for a promising career with longevity. Hank Strong demonstrates a broad range of a countless possibilities for the future with a resume boasting a substantial list of various roles in an expansive scope.

Ruth Mix

Biography

From Wikipedia Nadine Ruth Mix (July 13, 1912 - September 21, 1977) was the daughter of western film star Tom Mix, and a B-movie actress during the 1930s. Born in Dewey, Oklahoma, to Tom and Olive Stokes Mix, she started her acting career following in her father's footsteps. In the mid-1920s she starred in several silent films. She made a total of twelve westerns, particularly The Tonto Kid, Fighting Pioneers, Saddle Aces and Gunfire, all made in 1935. In 1936 she starred in three cliffhanger serials, The Black Coin, The Amazing Exploits of the Clutching Hand, and Custer's Last Stand. She played the female lead in a few B-westerns, starring alongside Wally Walls and Hoot Gibson. She then retired from acting and began taking the lead role for her father's circus and wild west show.

Kardinal Offishall

Jason Drew Harrow (born May 11, 1976), better known by his stage name Kardinal Offishall (/kɑːrdɪˈnæl oʊfɪˈʃæl/), is a Canadian rapper, record producer, DJ, and record executive. Often credited as Canada's "hip hop ambassador", he is regarded as one of the country's best hip hop producers, and is best known for his distinctive reggae and dancehall-influenced style of hip hop. A native of Toronto, Offishall began his career in the city's mid-1990s underground hip hop scene, as a member of The Circle. He released several independent 12" singles, a debut album (Eye & I), and an EP (Husslin'), before signing with major label MCA Records in 2000. The following year, Offishall released his second album, Quest for Fire: Firestarter, Vol. 1, spawning the Billboard hit "BaKardi Slang", which popularized Toronto's nickname "T-dot", and the minor hit "Ol' Time Killin'"; both singles became his signature songs. After failing to release the Firestarter Vol. 2 album in 2003, on MCA, and later Geffen Records (which absorbed MCA), Offishall briefly returned to the underground scene, releasing several more independent 12" singles. In 2005, Offishall's third album, Fire and Glory, was released in Canada. That year, he collaborated with R&B singer Akon for the first time, starting a musical partnership that lasted until 2010. In 2007, he signed with Akon's Kon Live Distribution label, through Geffen, and released his fourth album, Not 4 Sale, the following year. The first single, "Dangerous", became a top five hit on the Billboard Hot 100, and was certified triple platinum in Canada. Offishall released two gold-certified singles, "Numba 1 (Tide Is High)" and "Body Bounce", before leaving Kon Live in late 2010. Since then, his latest singles have been released on his independent label Black Stone Colleagues Inc. In 2012, Offishall released Allow Me to Re-Introduce Myself, a collaborative mixtape with producer Nottz. In 2013, Offishall became the Creative Executive Director of Universal Music Canada's A&R team. Two years later, he released his fifth album Kardi Gras, Vol. 1: The Clash under the label. He is now working as the Senior Director of Urban A&R for UMC.

David Cicilline

Biography

David Nicola Cicilline (born July 15, 1961) is an American lawyer and politician who served as the U.S. representative for Rhode Island's 1st congressional district from 2011 to 2023. A member of the Democratic Party, he was the 36th mayor of Providence from 2003 to 2011, the first openly gay mayor of a U.S. state capital. Cicilline chaired the House Judiciary Committee's Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial and Administrative Law. In this role, he has supported efforts to modernize antitrust law. On September 29, 2022, he was elected chair of the House Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism subcommittee, succeeding Ted Deutch, who resigned from the House on September 30, 2022. In November 2022, Cicilline announced he would run against outgoing Majority Whip Leader Jim Clyburn as Assistant Democratic Leader, the fourth senior position in the Democratic House caucus. Cicilline later dropped his bid for assistant minority leader. In February 2023, Cicilline announced his resignation from Congress, effective June 1, 2023. Cicilline is set to become president and chief executive officer of the Rhode Island Foundation.

Gigi Proietti

Biography

Luigi "Gigi" Proietti (2 November 1940 – 2 November 2020) was an Italian actor, voice actor, comedian, musician, singer and television presenter. After several stage works, in 1966 Proietti debuted both in cinema, in Pleasant Nights, and on television, in the TV series I grandi camaleonti. His first personal success came in 1971, when he replaced Domenico Modugno in the stage musical Alleluja brava gente by Garinei & Giovannini, starring alongside Renato Rascel. In 1974, after playing the role of Neri Chiaramantesi in the drama La cena delle beffe, alongside Carmelo Bene and Vittorio Gassman, in 1976 started a fruitful collaboration with playwright Roberto Lerici, with whom he wrote and directed his stage plays, starting with the one-man show A me gli occhi, please (Give me your eyes, please, 1976, reported on the scene in 1993, 1996 and 2000, in a memorable performance at the Olympic Stadium in his hometown). Initially planned to be performed 6 times, the show exceeded 300 performances, with an average audience of 2,000 per performance. He took part in several international movies, including The Appointment (1969), directed by Sidney Lumet, A Wedding (1978), directed by Robert Altman, and Who Is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe?
