The 12th House

A class project by transgender multimedia artist/dog Natalie Pit. Features the band Cherry Pit performing the second half of their song "I AM NOT A PERSON", set against unlicensed footage from other trans filmmakers, including the likes of Lex Walton, Louise Weard, Cate Wurtz, Jane Schoenbrun and Lily Alexandre.

The experimental film follows a young woman as she struggles to keep up with the fast pace of life. The film delves into her inner turmoil as she tries to escape the relentless pressure of time and find a sense of peace and belonging in a world that never slows down.

To cope with a grieving process, Eli creates his own pink musical paradise, full of neon lights and a lot of gayness.

In late August 2016, the band of Floating Points travelled to the Mojave desert to rehearse and record before their tour of the Southern states of America. Whilst visiting Joshua Tree national park, they were struck not only by its physical beauty, but also of the sonic reflections from the rock formations. A unique sound of reverb, echo and phase shifting modulating the sound from its surroundings.They took advantage of this environment to write and record some new music at the base of some of these natural sculptures which was documented in this short film.

An anonymous narrator talks through the various chapters of his life as a spy and a gay man in late 20th-century Britain. His vivid stories of intimacy and surveillance play out over shots of the luscious countryside, busy Central London streets, and nighttime cruising zones.

Oriana Mejer's niche poem-film style has created "NOISE!". The film dissects late stage capitalism and the effects social media has on the mind. This is a spoken word poem, performed by Mejer, combined with projections. It is a completely new approach to editing. Originally score by Sofia Camarena.

Questions how we as individuals are psychologically relying on our inhabit spaces and how we as society are influencing and being influenced by our surroundings.

A man trapped in an aimless routine becomes the spectator of his own life as he wanders through the urban landscapes of his city in search of something that gives him meaning. Between memories and ghosts, he faces his doubts and longings, questioning what is real and what is just a projection of his loneliness.

"After the experience of making the film for my thesis defense, and, of course, translating and working on the essay Amateur vs. Professional [Amateur Cinema], particularly Maya Deren’s definition of amateur cinema, it became a concern of mine. After a difficult year, I decided, based on a personal manifesto shaped by my surroundings [Paramedia], to make a film that I myself would like to see more of. A film created through image, montage, and the possibilities specific to the cinematic apparatus, with an emphasis on organicity. At the same time, it was a response to the question of mainstream cinema versus art cinema, and ultimately an attempt to arrive at a third option, one that is completely separate from those two modes of cinema: experimental cinema, structural, abstract, expansive, and so on. The final product was Me, I'm Not."
