And much of this is due to Saltzman's own daughter, Devyani, reminding him that he had put away and forgotten these remarkably intimate photographs of that time in 1968.

Music City News was founded in 1963, by country music singer Faron Young. In 1967, the publication began to confer annual awards; in 1978, it began televising them, with the inclusion of artist performances. These awards were not decided by a secretive committee or by an "association," but by fan nominations. Each installment of the Country Legends Live series highlights performances from particular annual awards shows. Country Legends Live, Vol. 4 offers a "best of" the 1984, 1985 and 1986 Music City News Awards Shows. Featured artists in this installment include Hank Williams, Jr., Reba McEntire, Johnny Cash, Randy Travis, Tanya Tucker, Ricky Van Shelton, Kathy Mattea, K.T. Oslin, the Oak Ridge Boys, The Statler Brothers, Highway 101, The Forester Sisters, Buck Owens, Dwight Yoakam, Patty Loveless and Ronnie Milsap.

For his 1976 Christmas special taped November 1-6, Cash went home to the family's farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee, and to their house in Hendersonville, outside Nashville. The rural setting at Bon Aqua invites city-boy/country-boy ribbing between Cash and his first guest, Manhattan-born pop veteran Tony Orlando, who points out that "Tie A Yellow Ribbon" is "my prison song". Johnny Cash's second Christmas special includes an all-star tribute to Elvis Presley, who died in August 1977, two months before this program was taped for CBS television. Fellow rockabilly pioneers Carl Perkins, Jerry Lee Lewis and Roy Orbison join Cash on "This Train is Bound For Glory" in memory of Presley, whose affinity for such sacred music was well-known. The 1977 special also includes holiday guest performances as Johnny takes the stage with Roy Clark for a spirited rendition of "Frosty The Snow Man" as well as the Statler Brothers with the yuletide classic "Blue Christmas."

Amir, the son of a businessman, Yahya, is more interested in music than in having a position as president of the company. Yahya is totally against this, and even his brother, Ismed is not allowed to help him. Instead, help comes from Norma, his father’s private secretary, and some young musicians. A music festival that Amir organizes is a huge success. In the end, Yahya makes peace with Amir and retires happily. The company is handed over to Ismed while Norma goes off to help Amir. The film featured the Imam Band that was popular at that time. The members were Eka Djaja Combo, Dolok Martimbang, Teruna Ria, Kinantan, Irama Agung and Idris Sardi and his orchestra.

Those who grew up in Hong Kong in the 1970s definitely remember the Wynners, a band formed by Alan Tam, Kenny Bee, Bennett Pang, Danny Yip, and Anthony Chan. They first dabbled into the film industry with Let's Rock in 1975, and in 1978 Taiwanese director Chen Yao Chi created another Wynners movie Making It. With a script tailored for the Wynners, youth film Making It is an updated Chinese version of The Prince and the Pauper. Five up-and-coming young music lovers, played by none other but the Wynners, overcome a lot of difficulties before they have a chance to perform at a restaurant. However, one of the band members, Alan (Alan Tam), suddenly feels ill and is hospitalized. His four friends fortunately come across the rich Sylvester (also Alan Tam) who looks exactly like Alan, and the four desperate band members ask him to take Alan's place for the performance. Meanwhile, Sylvester's parents, busily fetching Sylvester to fulfill an arranged marriage, mistake Alan as Sylvester...
