HiGH&LOW －THE PREQUEL－ centers the past, where a legendary gang called Mugen ruled the area. Mugen had controlled the entire area with its overwhelming power until it suddenly disbanded. That led to the transformation of the well-controlled area by Mugen into a lawless one, but on the other hand, it opened a new chapter of five emerging gangs that took control of the area on their separate territory. Each of these five gangs fights to protect what they value respectively. Taken from the initial of the five gangs, the area came to be known as the SWORD area. This is the story of the end of one summer, on the eve of the SWORD’s formation. Capricciosa is revue that follows the vagabond Capricciosa on his adventures that take him to various locations in Italy. The Takarazuka Revue has staged various versions of The Rose of Versailles over the years. In this version that focuses on Fersen, we present the splendid world of The Rose of Versailles in a glorious celebration of its fiftieth anniversary.

Musical by the Takarazuka Revue. In modern day France, an exhibition is being held at the Palace of Versailles of the "Necklace of Marie Antoinette". The necklace had been used in a fraud case that marked a chapter in French history and later went missing. It has been reproduced using real diamonds. Fujiko has sneaked into Versailles, as has the gang of Lupin, Goemon, and Jigen - all with the intention of getting their hands on the necklace, which is valued at over 3 billion yen in today's money. But they bump into Inspector Zenigata. Lupin is the one who manages to foil Zenigata and grab the necklace. Yet the instant he lays hands on it, everyone is enveloped in a mysterious light. When they regain consciousness, they notice they have gone through a time slip to 1785, before the French Revolution when Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were around.

Captivating the hearts of countless maidens is the sexy playboy, Don Juan. One night while enjoying the company of a woman as usual, Don Juan angers the Grand Master, the woman's father, which leads to a duel. Don Juan emerges victorious but the Grand Master's dying words are: "Someday love will punish you..." Before long, those ominous words manifest themselves as a curse and an apparition haunts Don Juan.

The franchise centers on "Starlight," a dance and dance troupe beloved the world over. Asuka Period, Japan. Ooama no Miko meets Nukata no Ookimi when he goes with his older brother (Nakano Ooe no Miko) to her house. There Nakano Ooe is wooing Nukata's older sister, and so the two younger siblings meet and fall in love. Five years later, Ooama and Nukata are married, and a daughter has just been born. Ooma talks happily to Nukata about his plans with his brother to jointly rule their empire of Yamato. As Nukata listens to his naive, happy chatter, she becomes uneasy. Later, Nakano Ooe arrives and tells Nukata that she has grown and become very lovely. He has fallen in love with her, and wants her for his own. Caught between the two brothers, Nukata flees back to her father's house.
