A Boy's Sister

The movie is about a dysfunctional family, each and every member with mental problems of his own. On top of that some old skeletons from the closet come back to haunt them.

Duk-soo lost his father and younger sister while taking refuge during the Korean War. He leaves for Germany to work as a miner and enters the Vietnam War. He wishes to find his sister.

Stockholm in the 1920s. Young Roland lives with his socialist father, Jewish mother and a boxing brother. His mother sells condoms illegally, and from them, Roland makes slingshots which he sells. His rebellious ways has gotten him the special attention of his school teacher, who always makes sure that Roland is punished. Roland also tries to make extra money by repairing bicycles, a successful business that in the end lands him in hot water.

Film producer Sy Lerner makes a bet with a fellow film executive that he can turn any nobody into a star at the Cannes Film Festival. A New York cab driver who is visiting the festival is chosen as the test subject to settle the bet and Sy uses his skills of hype and manipulation to try and turn the cab driver named Frank into the talk of the town. Many celebrities make cameos throughout the film.

A unemployed father, due to his laziness, is supported by his wife. Their daughter decides to put their lazy dad up for rent on a secondhand site.

There is just one week until Kate Mercer's 45th wedding anniversary and the planning for the party is going well. But then a letter arrives for her husband. In this bizarre character study/satire of the Cafe Cino/La Mama/Andy Warhol subculture, Dewey is a young actor/hustler who has just had sex with an older actress, Miss Gloria, who talks about her lifestyle as a 'compass rose'. After Dewey leaves, Gloria has over some 'medical doctors' who give her 'medication' involving a blood transfusion. Dewey returns home where his girlfriend, Olive, arrives and shows off some of her latest wardrobe and plays around with him, despite his lack of interest in her. Dewey phones his hippy friend Allen, also a struggling actor and sells drugs on the side hoping to finance his first directing gig. Meanwhile, Brandex, another bare-chested actor, flirts with Cathy, a dimwitted actress/stoner who debates which blouse to wear for the upcoming show.

The films was inspired by true events. Przemyslaw Saleta, World's Kickboxing Champion and European Champion in professional boxing gave a kidney to his seriously ill daughter. There were unexpected complications during the surgery and Saleta almost died. The movie starts when Saleta learns about the birth of his daughter Nicole and ends several years later when Saleta decided to give Nicole his own kidney. The story does not follow one linear, chronological path. The audience watches the boxer in the surgery room and join the protagonist in the recollection of past events;
