After living in Denmark for 38 years, Francisco has decided to move back to his homeland, the Philippines—a country he feels he has never really left. So, on a cold winter evening, he meets with his daughter, who was born and raised in Denmark, to tell her that he plans to leave just a few days later.

Observing as the World Burns: Poems is an evocative, introspective short film that transforms lines of verse into raw visual poetry—confronting the dual forces of personal introspection and outward chaos. Anchored by cinematic performances, layered voice-over, and an emotive soundscape, the film embodies the tension between witnessing life’s unraveling and finding meaning within it. Rather than dramatizing action, this film immerses the viewer in the experience of attention—the act of watching, contemplating, and articulating what it means to be alive. At the same time, everything feels like it’s burning. It is both a cinematic poem and a visual diary—an invitation to witness, feel, and reflect alongside the narrator.

"The Shadow of the Angel" tells the story of Ella, who awakens bloodied and wounded in a swamp near an abandoned convent, in an undetermined space and time. In that convent, a young composer has been murdered when she was about to finish composing a musical piece that would open the doors to a world of spiritual purity. As she discovers her new environment and her own identity, Ella must fulfill the mission of finding and completing the scores of the unfinished work. On the way to this mission, Ella (guided by a mysterious little girl), discovers her own "shadow": Dark Ella, a kind of double of herself who has become stranded in a time loop inside the convent. She must confront her own sadness and discover her connection with her dark self. Only by receiving the inspiration that allows her to complete the scores, Ella will redeem and free the spirit of the composer, her other self, and herself.

On a night defined by desperation, a young addict must confront his deepest traumas when a ruthless decision pushes him to the edge of his own fractured psyche.

The innocent lines of a young girl’s diary recount the visit of her father’s colleagues, the games played in the garden, and the weight of the summer heat through her naïve perspective. Yet, when a “snowflake” falls onto her notebook, it slowly begins to reveal traces of another, unseen reality. What starts with childhood innocence and joy gradually touches upon a far heavier truth of our time.
