Something is not right but not wrong either, and it seems that some memory from the past might have triggered all this...

8mm experimental film directed by Minoru Shinojima. Shot and edited by Kenji Onishi. For 40 years, Minoru Shinojima has been opposed to mining Mt. Buko and is striving to protect the natural environment and cultural ground that inhabit the local area. Idomu’s Testament - Sequel or IDOMU II. In Saitama prefecture Chichibu city there’s a mountain which was most loved by Tokugawa Ieyasu (founder of Tokugawa shogunate). It is Mount Buko, which rose 2 hundred million years ago when the pacific plate moved the underwater volcanoes around Hawaii. It is like the giant turtle shell where Myouken bodhisattva stood. A gentle mountain which heals people’s hearts and gives them the blessings of green and water.

Alma is a young film lover who dreams of one day making a living creating stories. Determined, she decides to go to the city to study film, but finding herself alone and without the care of her mother, she collides with the dangers of the big city, which makes her question whether she is following a good path or has just let herself be carried away by the illusion of a dream.

This experimental film was created via one pass through the camera without special visual effects. Each frame of the film was taken at night via a long time-lapse ("time-exposure") which created the actual images, and each frame of film was taken after a period of time from the previous frame, creating the movement of the images. What looks like the sun in some shots is actually the moon, over-exposed to allow the capture of the much-dimmer stars in the sky. Longer exposures for each frame can make a night-time shot look like a day-time shot, except that you can still see stars moving in the sky. This film won a CINE Golden Eagle.
