Super Bowl XXXI, played on January 26, 1997, at the Louisiana Superdome in New Orleans, saw the Green Bay Packers defeat the New England Patriots 35-21. This victory ended the Packers’ 29-year championship drought and marked their return to prominence after decades of mediocrity. The Patriots shocked the Rams early on and had a 17-3 lead, but a late Rams rally with a touchdown from Ricky Proehl tied the score, forcing a last-minute drive by Brady for one last opportunity to win.

Super Bowl XXXVIII, played on February 1, 2004, at Reliant Stadium in Houston, was an instant classic, featuring a thrilling fourth quarter and a last-second game-winning field goal as the New England Patriots defeated the Carolina Panthers 32-29. The game, which had a slow start but an explosive finish, cemented Tom Brady’s status as an elite quarterback and gave the Patriots their second Super Bowl title in three seasons.
