A mix of swashbuckling and Spaghetti western: a light hearted adventure of Zorro in which the hero has to support good noblemen, sustained by the peones, against an ambitious landlord and a bad alcalde.
In Old Calfiornia, an unscrupulous adventurer massacre Indians in order to find an ancient (and precious) talisman they are supposed to hide. Zorro will be on the rescue to protect both the pioneers and the Indians. This adventure has very little in common with the traditional swashbuckling backstage of Zorro's films but many elements of a western film.

A man returning home after having fought in the Civil War discovers that corrupt politicians have taken over the county and are terrorizing and shaking down the citizens. He dons the costume of his ancestor, the famous Zorro, and sets out to bring them to justice.
Colonel Cordero implements new taxes among the population in Monterrey without the governor's knowledge. Antonio Sandoval, who has returned from his studies to his hometown, becomes aware of the hustle and bustle of the colonel and makes life difficult as a masked Zorro for the tyrannical alcalde at every opportunity and time of day.
In the first half of the 1600's, France is at war with Spain. The cousin of the king of Spain, Isabella, is held captive in the French castle, and the Count of Seville is sent to France as a diplomat. While there, he is escorted by the Three Musketeers, who discover that he has secretly made a deal with Cardinal Richelieu to disclose Spanish military secrets in exchange for Isabella's release. However, he is merely bluffing and plans to take Isabella by force. When the musketeers discover this, they come to his aid, and together the four of them work at freeing the Countess. Meanwhile, the Count doubles as Zorro to free the Spanish court from a treacherous suitor.
In 17th century Spain, the evil, corrupt Don Luis intends to marry his ward, Carmencita, to his stepson, Don Diego. A peasant revolt, fuelled by a plague, complicates matters, as does the arrival of a Masked Avenger.
The king of Nogara dies, leaving behind a will naming one of his nieces as his successor. Will it be blonde and virtuous Isabella or evil, dark-haired Malva? Each woman relies on a hero to locate the will. Malva hires the bare-chested strongman Samson while Isabella relies on the masked El Toro (a.k.a. Zorro) even though her heart belongs to the mild-mannered poet, Ramon. Malva's ruthless desire for the throne soon alienates Samson and he and El Toro then team up to bring about a proper resolution to the Nogara succession. Meanwhile, Isabella learns El Toto's true identity, an identity which both surprises and pleases her.
Rigby, Larribee, and Grant each have one third of Bill Joyce's map locating his gold mine. The three plus Joyce's sister Helen head for the mine. An accident with a runaway horse carrying supplies leaves them stranded in the desert with very little water.
In 1877, thieves Ace Beaudry, Bronco Dawson and Bull Stanley head West together after having each been betrayed by a woman. They come across a wagon train bound for the town of Custer, where hundreds of people are gathering for a land rush in the Dakotas, which President Ulysses S. Grant has opened to settlers thanks to a treaty with the Sioux Indians. After the three rogues ride off, they spy a lone wagon with a tempting string of thoroughbreds. Before they can steal the horses, however, the wagon is attacked by a gang led by Layne Hunter, a shifty saloon owner from Custer. The trio chase off the gang, and as they are about to abscond with the horses, they find pretty Lee Carleton, whose father was killed in the attack.
