At the dawn of the space-race, two radio-obsessed teens discover a strange frequency over the airwaves in what becomes the most important night of their lives and in the history of their small town.

An anthology film presenting remakes of three episodes from the "Twilight Zone" TV series—"Kick the Can", "It's a Good Life" and "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet"—and one original story, "Time Out."

James Earl Jones hosts this film based on two stories by the late Rod Serling, who wrote the stories of the original 'The Twilight Zone' (1959) series. In "The Theatre," a young woman attends a movie only to find that her life story is being revealed on the screen. In "Where the Dead Are," a Boston surgeon in 1868 searches for a scientist who may have the answer to a medical mystery.

A nagging feeling leads to a late-night walk and a conversation between two women about the Twilight Zone and marriage.

A man sits in his rundown apartment and watches a TV. After he has eaten his fill, he leaves. Through a seemingly never-ending corridor, past houses which are reminiscent of war photography. He boards a train. Keeps on straying by foot through a dark, dystopian world. Does he even have a destination? Eventually, he meets a woman. The eponymous Bright Future is nowhere to be seen, but maybe something like love?

Bill is a professional masseuse who lives in Southern California, and has a life many men would give their right legs to have. He makes house calls to some of the more beautiful and affluent women of Southern California, massages them, and makes love to them (or what is called "special favors"), and gets paid for it. What more could a guy ask for? However, he starts doubting whether he's doing the right thing when it comes to these "special favors", especially when some of his clients (most notably a blonde named Lillian, played by former Playboy Playmate Tina Bockrath) are looking for more then he expected. Meanwhile, his strictly-business partner, Sue, whom together own and run a tanning salon/massage parlor in a strip mall, is having her own love issues. She lives with her boyfriend, Jake, a wealthy but obsessed businessman who appears to have his cell phone stuck to his ear at all times and cares more about his business then her, despite her attempts to seduce him.

A blind concert violinist gets a cornea transplant allowing her to see again. However, she gets more than she bargained for when she realizes her new eye can see ghosts. She sets out to find the origins of the cornea and discover the fate of its former host.

When Maggie's sister Jenna saddles her with an autistic newborn named Cody she touches Maggie's heart and becomes the daughter she has always longed for. But six years later Jenna suddenly re-enters her life and, with her mysterious new husband, Eric Stark, abducts Cody. Despite the fact that Maggie has no legal rights to Cody, FBI agent John Travis takes up her cause when he realizes that Cody shares the same birth date as several other recently murdered children.

An old gangster is advised that Freddie Mays would leave jail after thirty years in prison. His mood changes and he recalls when he was a young punk and who joined Freddie's gang—a man he both envied and ultimately betrayed.

But after being bitten by a wolf, Will suddenly finds himself full of youthful vigor. As he struggles to regain his position, he becomes enthralled with Laura Alden, his former boss's daughter. And, as increasingly animal-like urges begin to overwhelm him, Randall worries that he may be turning into the creature that bit him.
