A Russian official and his three female coworkers are mistaken for a pimp and his three prostitutes.

Set in an apartment building whose occupants include Arthur Earthleigh, a meek and mild type married to the beautiful-but-domineering Mae; a Bohemian artist, David Galleo and his always-there model, Deborah Tyler; and Olive Jensen, a Greenwich Village type who is always slightly-but-continuously inebriated, and whose motto is "love and let love." She calls on George while his wife is out, and when she passes out during his attempts to get her out before his wife returns, he thinks she is dead and deposits her on Galleo's terrace. Galleo takes advantage of the situation by using it in a blackmail scheme against Arthur, which is shaky, at best, as Olive refuses to stay dead.

Woojin, a 25-year-old Korean student tries to adjust to a new city where he doesn’t speak the language. Confusion, despair and bad breath makes him face his mental barriers and open himself to a different culture.

A.C.Baker, advertising executive for an insurance company, approaches test pilot Terry Moore with a proposition that in return for using his picture and endorsement he will get a paid-for-a-year $1000 policy. High-risk Terry agrees. George MacAlister fires his secretary, Miss Tracy, just as she is typing up the policy and she, for spite, changes the amount from a thousand dollars to one million dollars. A.C. delivers the policy, without noticing the difference, to Terry at a party at the Frolics Club, a cheap joint wedged between a burlesque house and a flop house hotel. Three characters, an elderly hat-check "girl" known as Mother Hodges; Avery Jamieson, a broken-down actor; and bartender Harry Gargan are named beneficiaries. When the company discovers the error, A.C. is sent to get back the policy and, pending that, don't let Terry make any test flights.

Ni te cases ni te embarques

A wealthy family is on a cruise. A rich young man falls in love with the family's maid and mistakes her for the businessman's daughter. A singer falls in love with the real daughter, and when he arrives with the rich young man at the businessman's house to ask for the rich daughter's hand in marriage, a misunderstanding arises with funny twists and turns.

A bankrupt restaurateur on the brink of suicide is suddenly treated with deference and kindness by a bizarre group of strangers — who welcome him in their home, no less! Truth is they have mistaken him for the tax man they're waiting for, desperate to save their floundering ostrich-breeding business.

Polyxeni becomes enraged when she finds her husband flirting with their maid. After dismissing the girl, she leaves her husband and goes to live at her parents' house. There, however, by chance, her former maid comes to work as a domestic helper. Polyxeni's father, brother, son-in-law, a naval officer, and two of his sailors fall in love with the maid, leading to misunderstandings and comical situations.

Hard-boiled newspaper reporter Larry Doyle (Robert Armstrong) goes a bit too far in celebrating a work bonus and wakes up on a train bound for St. Louis with only a buck on his person. To remedy the problem, Doyle pawns the revolver he's carrying. When the gun is subsequently used in a murder, Doyle's problems only multiply. In the meantime, he's also fallen in love with a comely stranger (Maxine Doyle) he convinced to impersonate his wife.

The film tells the tragicomic events happening to four friends.
