Mary Bishop, a clerk in a jewelry store, finds out that her ex-boyfriend Fred Garrison, who left town to make his fortune, is coming back and wants to see her. Having heard that Fred has married a wealthy society girl and is quite rich, Mary borrows some jewelry from the store, dresses up in her finest and when she sees Fred, tells him that she has married the richest man in town and is now quite well-off. Complications ensue.

Three college boys graduate. One is in love with a girl, whose mother and father have domestic difficulties. They go to court and are divorced. Father is refused the request for his daughter, and in turn kidnaps her and takes her to another state, where he becomes a great political factor. Bill, one of the graduated college boys who is in love with the girl, with his two companions, traces the girl and steal her away. In doing so his hand is burned with a poker and the father uses that as a means of identification in tracing him.

On arriving at the store, the wife, on attempting to get out, stumbles and startles the horses, which causes them to run away, the child hanging on to the wagon. This is seen by Harry, who gives chase, captures the runaway horses, and returns the child, unhurt, to the mother

From the music of Lebanese composer Gabriel Yared, Portuguese filmmaker João Pedro Rodrigues crafts a story reminiscent of David Lynch's Blue Velvet, showcasing an idyllic day in a Portuguese city that ends with a young man's awakening limned in darkness. This short film is part of the 2x25 Project of Film Fest Gent and the World Soundtrack Awards. The project commissioned 25 composers to compose a short piece of music, after which 25 filmmakers made short films that are the ultimate symbioses of music and cinematography, fitting completely within the DNA of the festival. The result: 25 exceptional films where the music inspired the form, narrative and texture.
