The step-mother, with tender understanding, eventually wins Danny over while Danny pacifies his new dog.

A pair of crooked deputies steal a gold shipment, murder a young boy's father and pin the blame on a cowboy. The murdered man's son and his dog set out to prove the cowboy's innocence.

Lady Jane Winston travels to the Ivory Coast of Africa to investigate George Castle, the manager of her family's rubber and ivory company, whom she suspects of embezzlement. On the voyage, Rin Tin Tin ("Rinty") leaps overboard near the African coast and befriends Jim Clayton, a beachcomber and former company employee. Together, the dog and Clayton rescue Lady Jane from a shark attack, prompting a partnership to expose Castle.

Sergeant Ken Strange, of the Canadian Mounted Police, and his dog, King, are on the trial of the murderer.
